Team Step With Refugees
USA for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is proud to join as a Participating Charity in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
When you train and run with us, the miles you log and the dollars you raise will help brave refugee families on their journey to safety.
Join Team Step With Refugees from October 31- November 3, 2024, and make every step count!
During the months and likely years these families are away from home, your love will be a much needed second wind. With you by their side, they can face any challenge as they recover and rebuild their lives.
You will help provide critical aid like shelter, warm blankets and nutritious food in moments of crisis. But you will do so much more than that — you will empower refugees with hope and opportunity.
How does it work?
Team Step With Refugees’ runners are guaranteed race entry when they commit to fundraising (or donating) a minimum of $700. A limited number of guaranteed spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Team Perks
How to Join the Team?
To secure a spot and get set up on the USA for UNHCR fundraising platform, send an email with the subject line “Wine and Dine” to stepwithrefugees@usaforunhcr.org.
Fundraising
Once you secure your spot, our team manager will help you prepare to fundraise and be a cheerleader during your training and fundraising journey. Please note that USA for UNHCR requires runners committing to a charity spot to raise a minimum amount.
USA for UNHCR will ask for credit card information during the signup process to secure a spot on the team. If a fundraiser doesn’t meet the minimum commitment, the balance will be charged to the credit card on file on December 3, 2024.
