I've heard from countless UNHCR supporters — just like you — asking the team and me, what does this election mean for our work and for the more than 120 million forcibly displaced people around the world in need of safety, protection and hope?
These questions reassure me that there continues to be a common concern for the critical work we do to provide for and uplift refugees and forcibly displaced families all around the world.
The simple answer is: our work with refugees will continue, as it always has. For decades, we have worked to advocate for refugees' rights, to mobilize resources for emergency response and to uplift their powerful stories. And that's what we will continue to do — tirelessly, with compassion, and with a focus on impact, optimism and inclusion.
This is a moment when we can come together as one community and be proud that we are friends and allies for refugees and forcibly displaced families.
We welcome your continued support of UNHCR and forcibly displaced people. We can't do it without you.
Thank you for all you do.
In solidarity,
Suzanne Ehlers
